Oh What a Night!
Oonas Dive Club's 20th Anniversary was celebrated in style at the roof bar on top of the hotel.  Over 150 guests, staff past and present, visitors and friends of Oonas were entertained by local band "On the Rocks" with views of the sun setting over the Sinai mountains and the whole of Na'ama Bay by night.  A sumptuous Egyptian barbeque was laid on, accompanied by the longstanding diving tradition of a Sakarra or two!  Thanks to everyone who attended for making it such a great night! Check out Oonas Dive Club on Facebook for loads of photos.

Ras Mohammed Clean Up Day

Thanks to all our guests who took part in the recent underwater clean up organised in partnership with the Ras Mohammed National Park, the CDWS and 10 other Dive Centres.  16 divers on Hooligan were sent to Jackfish Alley to clear fishing lines and other debris.  At the end of the day, a grand total of 150kg of rubbish was collected and everyone was presented with special certificates of thanks.

Congratulations to Cranbrook School
Oonas Dive Club would like to congratulate the students and staff of Cranbrook School who have just returned to the UK with all their newly achieved diving certifications.  After a few days on the house reef and the rest of the time on Obiwan, 12 Open Water and 8 Advanced Open Water courses were completed.  During their stay, the group also found time to spend time in the desert experiencing bedouin culture and enjoyed a celebration party on the roof.

They're Back!

If there was any doubt whether the Whalesharks would be back in Sharm again this year - this picture (courtesy of Happy Hanneke!) should answer the question. Oonas divers have seen 3 Whalesharks in 2 days. And today, a Manta Ray, a Turtle and a Bow-mouth Guitar Shark!
